A Welcome Note

Welcome to D Gloaming Nest! We are delighted to have you as part of our unique community for girls. This Guide is designed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and harmonious living environment for every resident. By signing your rental agreement, you agree to abide by these policies, which are founded on mutual respect and shared responsibility.

Section 1: Core Values & Community Safety (Highest Priority)

Your well-being and the safety of our community are our top priorities.

1.1. Mutual Respect & Consideration

Residents must be mindful that their actions and well-being impact the shared community. We expect a calm, respectful, and supportive demeanour from everyone at all times.

1.2. Zero Tolerance Policy

To ensure a healthy and safe environment for all, the following are strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises:

• Consumption, possession, or distribution of alcohol, illegal drugs, or other intoxicating substances
• Smoking of any kind
• Consequence: Any violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of residency

1.3. Emergency Protocols

• Emergency Contacts: You must provide and maintain up-to-date contact information for at least two (2) emergency contacts. Management will only contact them in a genuine emergency concerning your health or safety
• Reporting Emergencies: You must immediately report:
  • Any situation posing an immediate, serious risk to a resident's health or safety (e.g., medical emergency, threat of harm) to the appropriate emergency services first, and then inform management
  • Any hazardous or unsafe physical condition on the property to management

1.4. Support Resources

Information on local mental health, counselling, and crisis support services is provided as part of your welcome kit. The Landlord's role is to maintain the premises, not to provide healthcare or counselling.

Section 2: House Rules for Harmonious Living

These rules help maintain a clean, peaceful, and considerate environment.

2.1. Dietary Policy

To maintain a consistent and considerate atmosphere for all residents, only vegetarian food (including no eggs, fish, or meat) may be consumed or stored on the premises.

2.2. Cleanliness & Shared Areas

• Dining: All meals and snacks must be consumed exclusively in the designated pantry/dining area
• Clean-Up: Residents are responsible for cleaning their own dishes, cookware, and any mess created immediately after use
• Common Areas: Please leave common areas (lounges, bathrooms, pantries) tidy for the next person

2.3. Noise & Quiet Hours

Respect the peace and privacy of others.

• Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Keep noise levels to a minimum during this time
• General Consideration: Use headphones for music and videos and keep conversations at a respectful volume in common areas at all times

2.4. Appliance Usage & Safety

• Provided Appliances: All food-related appliances (induction cooktops, microwaves, etc.) must be used only in the designated pantry area
• Personal Appliances: For safety and to prevent electrical overload, the use of heavy electrical appliances (e.g., personal heaters, high-wattage kettles, personal induction cooktops) in private rooms is strictly prohibited. Please consult management if you have a specific need

2.5. Access & Security

• Residents have 24/7 access to the premises
• Doors and entry gates must never be propped open and must be securely locked behind you
• Do not share access codes or keys with anyone outside the community

Section 3: Guests & Visitors

For the security and comfort of all residents, we have a strict visitor policy.

3.1. General Policy

Outside visitors are generally not permitted beyond the common area.

3.2. Female Family/Friends

Female family members or friends may visit residents in the designated common areas only during daytime hours.

3.3. Prior Intimation & Approval

All visits require prior intimation and approval from management at least 24 hours in advance. Overnight guests are not permitted.

Section 4: Assets, Belongings & Damages

4.1. Care of Property

Residents are expected to treat the premises and all provided assets with care and respect.

4.2. Damage Responsibility

The cost of repairing or replacing any property or asset damaged by a resident (beyond normal wear and tear) will be charged to that resident. This can be settled via an upfront payment or deducted from the security deposit.

4.3. Personal Belongings

Each resident is solely responsible for the safety and security of their personal belongings. D Gloaming Nest management and staff are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Section 5: Administrative Policies

5.1. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is collected at move-in. It will be returned after the termination of the agreement, subject to deductions for any outstanding dues or damages as outlined in Section 4.2. There will be a standard deduction of Rupees 2000 from the deposit as wear and tear charges on termination of the agreement. (This amount may vary to secure damages if any)

5.2. Conflict Resolution

We encourage residents to resolve minor disagreements respectfully amongst themselves. For issues that cannot be resolved, please bring them to the attention of management for confidential mediation.

5.3. Policy Updates

Management reserves the right to update these policies with reasonable notice provided to all residents.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Gloaming Nest website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Accommodation Services

Gloaming Nest provides co-living accommodation services for female professionals and students. All bookings are subject to availability and approval.

3. Booking and Payment

• Bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by Gloaming Nest
• Payment terms will be communicated during the booking process
• Security deposits are required and will be refunded subject to property condition

4. House Rules

Residents must:

• Maintain cleanliness and respect common areas
• Respect quiet hours and other residents' privacy
• Not engage in illegal activities on the premises
• Follow all safety and security guidelines

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms will be provided at the time of booking. Generally, advance notice is required for refunds.

6. Liability

Gloaming Nest is not liable for personal belongings. Residents are responsible for their own property and should consider personal insurance.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accommodation services for violation of house rules or non-payment.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
